Virtually nothing worth mentioning was seen during an extremely quiet day for birds. Take your pick for bird of the day from the following ‘highlights’: three Dunlins, three Black-headed Gulls, a Collared Dove, a Common Starling, three Eurasian Siskins and a Redpoll.

The best invertebrate of the day was another Small Elephant Hawkmoth found at Cristin.
