A welcome warm front brought a big improvement in the weather. On the bird front though, scarcely any improvement at all was noticed. Four Willow Warblers and a Redpoll were just about the only migrant passerines, while two Sandwich Terns, 18 Black-headed Gulls, eight Dunlins, a Common Sandpiper and the Ringed plover were the best of the other birds.

Yet another new moth for the island was trapped in Cristin Withy – not a micro this time, but a
Bordered Beauty.
