A House Sparrow was the scarcest bird of the day, but a couple of stunning male Ring Ouzels on the hill above the Obs pulled in the largest crowd!. At least 20 White Wagtails and the first flock of Dunlin of the spring (14) were on Solfach. There were also three Grashopper Warblers singing during the morning in the lowlands and a Hen Harrier (albeit a rather tatty one) was seen over the mountain. A Pied Flycatcher was the first of spring, but was only seen briefly. A stunning adult male Common Redpoll was seen in the withies but not trapped.
