A couple of Teal in a sheltered bay on the Narrows was just about the highlight of a quiet morning, although the number of Wheatears had built up to 44 birds and there were now four Kestrels and two Sparrowhawks harrying the local Linnets on the mountainside. A Snipe was in the wetlands, a couple of Grey Wagtails flew overhead, the Cuckoo, eight Spotted Flycatchers, 15 Willow Warblers and a couple of Goldcrests were found in the gardens and a Garden Warbler and a Blackcap were discovered at Nant in the afternoon.
Good to see that you're putting your new lense to good use, Ben. I would have thought that Steve would've had multi-pictures of the island's flora and fauna on by now.
ReplyDeleteWho is ahead on this week's bird points competition. Is it still Steve?
