Long hours in the field produced a few worthwhile sightings out of a quiet day. A flock of Kittiwakes in front of the north hide contained the first Mediterranean Gull for a couple of months, three Little Gulls, 50 Sandwich Terns, 50 ‘Commic’ Terns, two Common Gulls and 28 Black-headed Gulls, while other seabirds included a single Balearic Shearwater, an Arctic Skua, 13 Wigeons and 26 Common Scoters. A Yellow Wagtail was still present near the farm, nine Grey Wagtails and ten House Martins flew south and three Spotted Flycatchers, two Blackcaps, four Chiffchaffs, five Goldcrests and a Starling were also logged.
