The first Little Gull of the autumn was seen during a morning of sea passage that also included 12 Balearic Shearwaters, nine Arctic Skuas, four Great Skuas, two Black Terns, 45 Sandwich Terns, 32 Common Terns and an Arctic Tern. A small number of newly-arrived landbirds were also noted, and counts came to 31 Chiffchaffs, six Willow Warblers, six Blackcaps, two Whitethroats, 18 Goldcrests, two Spotted Flycatchers, a Yellow Wagtail, four Grey Wagtails, a Whinchat, a Reed Bunting and the first Song Thrush for several weeks. Two Merlins were seen and a couple of Grey Herons were on the shoreline.
