A Barn Owl was probably the highlight of the day, although a Ring Ouzel at Ty Capel was also a nice find. Other migrant passerines remained in short supply, with just five Chiffchaffs, six Goldcrests, the lingering Melodious Warbler and Reed Warbler, two Blue Tits, two Great Tits, two Song Thrushes, a Reed Bunting, 19 Swallows and a House Martin worth mentioning. A Water Rail was in the withies, a Knot was on the South End and a single Great Skua was the only notable seabird. After dark, the first Grey Plover of the year was heard flying over Cristin.
