The day’s highlight was an unexpected flurry of skua activity during the morning that consisted of a juvenile Long-tailed Skua, four Arctic Skuas and twelve Great Skuas passing offshore. The only other noteworthy seabirds were a Mediterranean Gull, three Sandwich Terns and four ‘Commic’ Terns. Three Water Rails were in the withies, the Knot was still on the South End and a Yellow Wagtail, two Blackcaps, 14 Goldcrests, three Blue Tits and 13 Great Tits were the passerine highlights.
