A very pleasant sunny morning resulted in some enjoyable birding. Two Snow Buntings were on top of the mountain and another one was found on the South End. Swarm after swarm of Starlings streamed by on their way south, with an estimated total of 3300 birds being rather conservative. A Lapland Bunting flew over the observatory and counts of finches came to 60 Chaffinches, two Bramblings and nine Siskins. The highlights of sea passage were three Great Northern Divers, two Red-throated Divers, a Manx Shearwater, a Mediterranean Gull and 12 Fulmars.
