Despite strong winds, clear skies and mild temperatures made the day feel quite spring-like. A substantial feeding flock of gulls was in Solfach at high tide with a Black headed Gull, three Common Gulls, a Lesser black backed, eight Greater black backed Gulls and three hundred Herring Gulls seen. Hardly any other birds were about however a Snipe in the wetlands and a Buzzard inland was sighted.

Twenty three Fulmars glided into the westerly wind that gusted along the east side.
Four Shelducks continue to feed either side of the narrows. (c) Ben Porter
