The wind remained fresh from the south-east and cloud cover settled in the afternoon. Hardly any birds of note were seen however, the odd commoner bird was about; a Gannet glided into the wind off the west side as it scanned for food, seven Woodpigeons were again in the plantation, three Whimbrels were with the usual Curlews and eight Shelducks were either side of the narrows.
