The end of February saw the return of the Observatory staff with Steve, Emma and Connor Stansfield, Richard Brown and Giselle Eagles and Elizebeth James to help with the cleaning all coming back on the boat at midday. Despite the glorious weather, few birds were about, the first Grey Wagtail of the year flew over the south end in the morning and a Raven also flew over high. A couple Ring Plovers were on Solfach and a Sparrowhawk flew over cafn.

The first few Meadow Pipits (above) and Rock Pipits have begun to sing and perform brief song flights around the coast and inland.
