A fairly quiet day saw low cloud cover over the island in the morning, only clearing in the late morning. The highlights of the day came in the form of a male Redstart at Cristin and a Sedge Warbler in Plas Withie. Other common migrants were also about, with today's counts consisting of: six Swallows, a Sand Martin, ten Blackcaps, two Grasshopper Warblers, six Chiffchaffs and forty eight Willow Warblers. Three Ring Plovers were on Solfach and a Whimbrel was on the west coast; two Gannets and three Manx Shearwaters flew by at sea.
