Dawn broke to a sunny and extremely hot day, and the wind was again light from the north. A few birds had arrived during the night, the most notable sightings being: 15 Collared Doves, three Blackcaps and a Reed Warbler. 14 Swifts passed through during the day, whilst hirundines seen included 33 Swallows and 18 House Martins. Three Ringed Plovers, three Dunlins and three Turnstones were in Solfach, whilst a Curlew was seen in Henllwyn. Three Lesser Redpolls and three Spotted Flycatchers were seen at Nant, whilst a Buzzard was the only different raptor seen.

 A few Linnet fledglings have been flying noisily around with parent birds recently.
A Small Elephant Hawkmoth was caught in the Nant Withy moth trap, after one was seen yesterday by Cristin.
