A day of brisk winds from the south-east and light showers saw some more noteworthy birds making their way to the island. The best bird of the day came in the form of a Treecreeper (new for the year) found in Ty Nesaf garden on the pine trees. The Tree Pipit was again present in the plantation, and a Yellow Wagtail flew over the green lane. Two Black-headed Gulls and a Grey Heron were around the narrows in the morning, where a Dunlin, three Turnstones and 15 Redshanks were also seen. 46 Willow Warblers were around, with most around the nant area but a few scattered in the withies and in the gorse on the south end.
