Sunday 14 August 2011

The first Sooty Shearwater of the year glided by at sea in the morning, and a Balearic Shearwater, a Great Skua, 22 Common Scoters, 34 Sandwich Terns and 64 Whimbrels also flew past. Inland, it was rather uneventful: a Little Owl was seen above Carreg Bach, a Kestrel hunted prey on the mountain, a juvenile Redstart was seen again at Nant and 31 Willow Warblers were scattered throughout the vegetated areas.
