A few migrants were grounded in the drizzly weather in the early hours, although it was still very quiet for a calm autumn's day. Five Bar-tailed Godwits were seen in Solfach in the morning, and two Purple Sandpipers and three Whimbrels were also seen at high tide. Two Reed Warblers were seen in Ty Capel and Cristin garden, a Yellow Wagtail was seen in the North-west fields and two Spotted Flycatchers, a Song Thrush and a Whinchat were also present. Flocks of Swallows passed overhead during the day, with smaller numbers of pipits and wagtail seen; totals of passerine-migrants included three Skylarks, 246 Swallows, six House Martins, 31 Meadow Pipits, a 'flava' Wagtail, six White Wagtails, 26 Pied Wagtails, 12 Wheatears, a Whitethroat, nine Blackcaps, a Willow Warbler, 12 Chiffchaffs, 13 Goldcrests, 49 Chaffinches, five Siskins and seven Lesser Redpolls.
