A juvenile Glaucous Gull (new for the year) was seen flying over the Narrows in the morning, although there was very few other birds around on an otherwise wet and windy day. A Woodcock and a Short-eared Owl were seen in the coastal bracken and gorse, whilst four Lapwings and the two Brent Geese were seen on the narrows. A slight rise in thrush-numbers saw 33 Blackbirds, a Fieldfare and 19 Redwings scattered around, whilst six Snipe were flushed from the wetlands.
