40 Swallows passing overhead with one House Martin and three Sand Martins was the highest total of the year so far, whilst a Sandwich Tern and Hooded Crow were seen flying along the coast. 14 Blackcaps, 11 Chiffchaffs, 69 Willow Warblers and three Goldcrests were scattered around, with 19 Wheatears and 16 White Wagtails around the coastline. One Greenfinch, 18 Goldfinches and two Lesser Redpolls flew overhead in the early hours.


 The second Sandwich Tern of the year spent most of the day feeding off shore near Carreg Yr Honwy

 White Wagtails are beginning to arrive in slightly greater numbers
After seven Mallard ducklings hatched out near Pwll Cain a few days ago, the numbers have now reduced to only four individuals
The first Minotaur Beetle of the year was found on Pencristin in the morning
