It was a very quiet day bird-wise, with three Sanderlings in Solfach at high tide the pick of the lot. Six Dunlins, three Whimbrels and two Common Sandpipers were also seen around the Narrows at high tide.


 There are many families of Choughs around at the moment, particularly on the east side of the mountain
 Both pairs of Peregrine Falcons have managed to rear chicks again this year-this is one of the two that the South pair fledged
 Sanderlings
 The moth traps caught the highest number of moths so far this year in the conditions last night. The withies trap caught about 150, and a Thistle Ermine (lower-second for the island) was caught in the Nant trap. Riband Waves (upper) and Antler Moths (middle) were also trapped
