A very quiet day bird-wise saw little moving past at sea, despite the strong winds. Three Arctic Skuas were seen in the morning, whilst waders included a Ringed Plover, a Purple Sandpiper, two Dunlins and a Whimbrel. Passerine-migrants were thin on the ground; a single Grey Wagtail and four 'alba' Wagtails flew overhead, whilst a Reed Warbler and seven Goldcrests were seen in the gardens.
