An extremely wet day saw very little around bird-wise. Wader-counts in the morning included a Purple Sandpiper, a Snipe, six Bar-tailed Godwits, whilst a Great Skua flew past at sea. A movement of 39 Swallows was the only passage of migrants inland. The Greater-spotted Woodpecker and 17 Chiffchaffs were present in the island's gardens.
