Saturday 1 June 2013

It was an extremely quiet day with very little to report. The highlights of the morning included a Hooded Crow and a Grey Heron. A total of 15 Spotted Flycatchers were scattered round the island, along with a Blackcap.

A rather smart Green Carpet (top) was trapped at Nant overnight, and a Shears (lower) was taken from the Withies trap- a combined total of 23 moths were caught

  1. Those peregrines are beautiful I hope they survive into adulthood.

  2. They are rather nice. It would be good if they survive, although we don't really know where the youngsters go from here.
