6th July

A juvenile Willow Warbler at Nant in the morning heralded the beginning of Autumn, at least a week earlier than the first juvenile last year.
The first Mediterranean Gull for some time was seen in Henlwyn midday, followed by another two off the West Side in the afternoon.
The second Red Kite of the year put in an incredibly brief appearance over the mountain in the late afternoon, where 10 Swifts also glided over.

An appalling record shot of the Red Kite which showed over the mountain for about 5 seconds before disappearing over the crest, as so many raptors do
The first brood of Whitethroats consists of three chicks, currently being fed in Nant Withy
