It was a very dull day, and the strong winds continued unabated throughout. Solfach was the place to be at high tide, as the waves churned up nutrients and some food for the wintering gulls. Totals from this morning included 380 Herring Gulls, two Lesser Black-backed Gulls, seven Great Black-backed Gulls, four Black-headed Gulls and 64 Kittiwakes. In other news, a single Linnet inland was the first for a week or two.
