It was a day of strong winds, chilly temperatures and rain- the true characters of spring...
Bird-wise, a first-winter Glaucous Gull over The Narrows early morning was by far the best sighting of the day, being just the 30th Bardsey record. One Red-throated Diver, to Fulmars, 16 Manx Shearwaters, eight Gannets, 20 Kittiwakes and six Puffins passed southward at sea. Two Skylarks were seen in the North-west Fields, 222 Meadow Pipits were scattered around the coast and in the inland fields, there were three White Wagtails at Nant, and a Song Thrush sought shelter in the lowlands.
