It was a rather cold and breezy beginning to April, although wind strengths were not quite as severe as the 31st. A
Storm Petrel flying south past the South End in the morning was a good start to the day, being the first of the year so far; a
Merlin and single female
Sparrowhawk were seen hunting near Ty Pellaf; two
Common Scoters and 25
Manx Shearwaters passed by out to sea; and a single
Chiffchaff and 21
Goldcrests sought shelter in the vegetated areas inland.
Shag
