A busy changeover day saw quite pleasant birding conditions when time allowed, although there was greatly reduced selection of new arrivals on show. Wader counts for the day comprised one Sanderling, three Whimbrels and one Curlew; two Cuckoos were still lurking around the island, whilst hirundine passage consisted of three Sand Martins, 189 Swallows and 10 House Martins. Other passerine figures included one White Wagtail, a Whinchat, seven Sedge Warblers, three Whitethroats, five Blackcaps, 11 Chiffchaffs and three Spotted Flycatchers.
