Highlights today were directed firmly out to sea with a
single Pale-bellied Brent Goose, three Pomarine Skuas, three Arctic Skuas, one
Great Skua, two Black-headed Gulls, 774 Kittiwakes, two Arctic Terns, one
Guillemot, six Fulmars, 74 Gannets, nine Common Scoters, and 2585 Razorbills
all recorded off the West Coast.
Overhead migration consisted of four Sand Martins, 15
Swallows, one Grey Wagtail, two Jackdaws and one Siskin, 29 Turnstones and seven
White Wagtails were on The Narrows, plus two Grasshopper Warblers, one
Whitethroat, four Blackcaps, 17 Chiffchaffs, and 41 Goldcrests inhabited the
island’s bushes.
