The strong winds continued overnight and into the morning with most birds found hunkered down out of the way. These winds, coupled with a rather high tide, pushed waders out of their favoured roosting and feeding spots allowing particularly good counts, such as 203 Oystercatchers, one Whimbrel, one Curlew, ten Redshanks, and 18 Turnstones, with a lone Black-headed Gull too.
Kestrel hunted the Mountainside above Cristin, 38 Kittiwakes were logged offshore, with other migrants amounting to four Swallows, six Wheatears, three Blackcaps, six Chiffchaffs, four Willow Warblers, 13 Goldcrests, and one Lesser Redpoll.
