There was no fooling around on daily census today as the wind whipped right through island. A stunning adult summer Mediterranean Gull lingered off the West Coast whilst one Common Scoter, one Common Gull, and three Puffins were also offshore.

A pair of Teals were on Nant pond in the evening with other migrant fare amounting to one Buzzard, one Merlin, four Turnstones, one White Wagtail, one Wheatear, one Fieldfare, four Chiffchaffs, one Willow Warbler, 16 Goldcrests, and one Reed Bunting.

Male Wheatear feeling the wind!

These dazzling feathers belong in the crest of a Goldcrest - this individual succumbed to a Sparrowhawk

Leopard Slug (Limax maximus)
