A Lesser Whitethroat singing at Cristin was an interesting start to the morning though only a lone male Cuckoo was of any note after. Waders on The Narrows comprised one Ringed Plover, one Lapwing, one Whimbrel, one Curlew, and one Turnstone with one Collared Dove and three Swifts recorded inland.

In non-avian news, the first four Risso’s Dolphins of the year were seen moving together off Pen Cristin. After a brief lull in numbers a new wave of Diamond-back Moths hit the East Side of the Mountain with the Thrift holding at least 1,000. A good tally of 24 Painted Lady’s were logged today as well.
