Sea-watching
provided today’s highlights as nine Fulmars,
1146 Manx Shearwaters, one Balearic
Shearwater, 69 Gannets, 37 Common Scoters, one Arctic Skua, one Great Skua, and four Sandwich Terns were logged.
A good
deal of wader activity along the coastline resulted in one Golden Plover, three Knots, one Curlew Sandpiper, seven Purple Sandpipers, three Dunlins,
one Black-tailed Godwit, 22 Bar-tailed Godwits, four Whimbrels, 36 Curlews, ten Redshanks,
one Common Sandpiper, and 77 Turnstones
found.
The Melodious Warbler remained faithful to
the Cristin garden but movers today from inland total to one Kestrel, eight Grey Wagtails, 19 Pied Wagtails, 12 White Wagtails, one Redstart, seven Wheatears,
one Grasshopper Warbler, one Whitethroat,
two Blackcaps, five Chiffchaffs, 22 Willow Warblers, 40 Goldcrests, two Spotted Flycatchers, and
353 Linnets.
