A fairly quiet day, with the staff spending most of it conducting seabird counts on Ynys Gwylan Fawr. A few sightings of note were made however, with the most interesting probably 33 Common Scoters, in groups of 18 and 15 off the West Coast. 162 Gannets was also an excellent count, but otherwise the only counts of birds moving offshore were 439 Manx Shearwaters. Meanwhile, on the Narrows there were four each of Whimbrel, Turnstone and Dunlin, and a single Curlew.

A very modest overhead passage included 27 House Martins, 17 Swallows, six Swifts and a single Sand Martin, while of migrants on land, three Jackdaws were the most unusual. Five Siskins, a Goldfinch and a single Lesser Redpoll were also seen, with probable migrant Warblers represented solely by three Chiffchaffs and two Blackcaps. On the migrant insect front, 11 Painted Ladies were seen in total today.
