Another quiet day of migration today.

The sunshine provided the perfect conditions to head out and find some Oystercatcher nests today, a versatile species when it comes to nesting sites

The weather cleared up throughout the day, which allowed a reasonable movement overhead to take place three Swifts, six Sand Martins, 115 Swallows and 11 House Martins were recorded, this is shamefully some of the best hirundine passage recorded so far this year, hopefully the first of many as opposed to the Spring peak. On the land warblers included six Sedge Warblers, one Blackcap, nine Chiffchaff, two Willow Warblers and two Goldcrests. Finally, two Siskins were heard overhead today.
