Today was calmer only a 7mph easterly swept Bardsey. The first Common Whitethroats of the year were heard and seen around Cristin, two in total. A guided walk in the morning gave visitors views of Puffins, Guillemots and Razorbills as well as Rooks, a total of seven were seen over the course of the day which are the first of year. Hirundines had noticeably increased in numbers with 13 House Martins, 38 Swallows and 11 Sand Martins, hopefully these numbers will build from now on. Other firsts for the year were four Dunlins in Solfach and a female Pied Flycatcher at Nant.
Other birds around include: 48 Wheatears, 17 Shags, 13 Shelducks, one Sparrowhawk, two Buzzards, one Merlin, two Peregrines, 12 Whimbrel, two Little Owls, one Ring Ouzel, one Redwing, 12 Chiffchaffs and 62 Willow Warblers.
