Today, the weather was overcast, yet still quite bright which was nice - it was windy in the morning, but this had calmed down by early-afternoon.

Sam headed to the Withies and then up to Nant, clearing the net rides of the new growth which has come right through some of them. Passage will be upon us before we know it, so these all need to be ready to be opened for when it begins!

George set to working on the 'Food shop', the shelves in there need to be stripped out so that when the Solar Panels are installed, the batteries and inverters can be mounted on the back wall. The shelves have all been ripped out, and it's given a good amount of space to work in - once some actual kitchen units have been put in, to store our food, it will look quite smart!

Sam headed to the Narrows in the afternoon, where four Common Sandpipers was a marked increase on recent times, a single Redshank was also around - is autumn already here?? Three Curlews were in Henllwyn too, it won't be long until a flock begins to build on the island.

Otherwise, the day was relatively quiet, with no passerine passage being evident, the Willow Warbler parents were still busy feeding their chicks in the Obs garden, and Whitethroats are doing the same.
