The weather for the first half of the day was poor, with heavy cloud and some rain on and off. In the second half, the rain cleared up and there were even. few sunny spells in the evening.

Daniel headed to the Narrows and the South End in the morning despite the less than ideal conditions, and his efforts were rewarded when a clear increase in waders was seen - 22 Curlews, four Whimbrels and a Turnstone showed some movement overnight.

The rest of the day was again spent divvying up the Obs in preparation for the arrival of guests on Saturday, we are getting close to being finished now, with finishing touches of paint and beginning to get the kitchen ready, too.

Other sightings today were rather limited, as most time was spent getting the Obs ready: two Peregrines, five Whimbrels, one Common Sandpiper, one Cuckoo, two House Martins, one Whitethroat, nine Willow Warblers, five Great Tits and two Starlings.
