The guests this week were lucky to leave today as the winds are forecast to be over 30mph for the next week. There was a strong breeze throughout the day with low cloud and a spot of light rain.

After changeover Stuart and Megan walked the entire coastline from Bae'r Nant to Traeth Ffynnon counting the Grey Seal pups. They also took photographs of both the pups and mothers in order to identify them using their unique (albeit very similar) patterning.

Birding was very quiet with the Whinchat remaining in the Sunflower field and the first Water Rail of the year heard near Ty Pellaf Withy.

Birds today: four Gannets, one Grey Heron, one Buzzard, one Water Rail, one Ringed Plover, one Grey Plover, 20 Purple Sandpipers, one Snipe, 71 Curlews, nine Redshanks, 54 Turnstones, 11 Black-headed Gulls, 13 Collared Doves, six Swallows, four Grey Wagtails, three White Wagtails, one Whinchat, one Blackcap, four Chiffchaffs, eight Goldcrests
