For the assistants the day started in the early hours ringing Manx Shearwaters around the South End with 126 new birds and 46 retraps caught. Before this a further two Dunlins, a Ringed Plover and an Oystercatcher were trapped around the Narrows. Census was generally quiet with 13 Spotted Flycatchers still around.
Other bird logged included a Grey Heron, a Sparrowhawk, a Kestrel, a Buzzard, three Dunlins, two Feral Pigeons, 83 Swallows, 20 House Martins, 14 Wheatears, a Sedge Warbler, a Whitethroat, a Blackcap, three Chiffchaffs, two Willow Warblers, three Goldfinches and two Lesser Redpolls.
