Today the sun was shining as we greeted new guests to the Observatory. High temperatures of 28°C were reached and the F3 northern winds provided a bit of relief and a sea state 3.
We had a Clouded Yellow on the Narrows today! But there were a fair few day-flying moth species about today, including three Six-Spot Burnet, three Magpie Moths, one Silver Y and seven Hummingbird Hawk-moths.

Today we recorded a count of 206 rafting Puffins off the East side. At least one Lapwing was heard overnight on the South End as Ezra walked home. A Whimbrel and two Curlews on Henllwyn amongst the seals.
We had 23 Swallows and five House Martins across the island today and five Swifts flying above the Mountain. Three Meadow Pipits and five Rock Pipits were also recorded.
Two Stonechats were seen at the farm, five Wheatears between Henllwyn and the south end. Three Sedge Warblers, a Goldcrest and two Chiffchaffs were recorded across the island. Seven Linnets on the Narrows and South End.
