In calm and overcast conditions-looking quite promising for
birds-there were a few more new arrivals on the island. 10 Chiffchaffs and 27 Goldcrests were logged around the island during the day, whilst flocks of
Meadow Pipits flying overhead amounted to 223 individuals. Two male Reed Buntings
were singing in the two reed beds, whilst a Fieldfare was on the South End and two Goldfinches and 17 Siskins flew from garden to garden.
