Despite the
calm winds and several torrential rain storms that passed through during night, it was altogether a very quiet day. A Hooded Crow flew along the
west side in the morning, and the 1st winter Glaucous Gull was seen
again as it rested on Carreg Yr Honwy with the usual gulls. Hirundine passage
was once again extremely slow, with five Sand Martins, 16 Swallows and two House Martins recorded; nine Blackcaps, 12 Chiffchaffs, 46 Willow Warblers and six Goldcrests, whilst 34 Wheatears were around the coast with 17 White Wagtails.
Chiffchaffs
Blackcap-numbers went down after yesterday's arrival
Swallow (upper) and Sand Martin (lower)
a few Shelducks have been seen around the coast near gorse bushes recently (where most will be nesting)
