A largely cloudy day was disappointingly quiet on the bird front. The highlights of the morning includeda Great Northern Diver, a Pomarine Skua and a Great Skua to the East of the South End in the morning. A small selection of waders around the Narrows at high tide amounted to 13 Ringed Plovers, three Sanderlings, three Dunlins, a Turnstone and seven Whimbrels.
Inland, only a couple of Spotted Flycatchers remained in the island's gardens and withies.
