Another blustery day did, however, see a few more birds around the island. The highlight of the day was a Storm Petrel which was seen briefly off the South End in the early hours, along with many hundred Manx Shearwaters and 40 Gannets. The Black Redstart remained at the Lighthouse, whilst an increase in Wheatear numbers saw 37 birds scattered around the coast.
Singles of Sanderling, Ringed Plover and Common Sandpiper were seen in Henllwyn, along with three Turnstones, two Purple Sandpipers and 28 Whimbrels.

At least 3 pairs of the nominate race are attempting to breed on the island (male pictured above)
