With the bulk of spring migration over now, very few if any
migrants are being recorded, with log dictated by breeding birds. A small
movement out to sea consisted of two Fulmars, 262 Manx Shearwaters and 73
Gannets.
The Grey Heron in Henllywn was joined by a second bird, also
on the Narrows were a Ringed Plover, a Dunlin, two Whimbrels and a Curlew.
Hirundines today included 33 Swallows and 10 House Martins. Stonechats are
still feeding young around the island with nine logged today, as well as 14
Wheatears. Semi-resident warblers included four Sedge Warblers, two
Whitethroats, a Blackcap and three Chiffchaff. Finally also of note today were
three Chaffinches, part of the couple of pairs on the island this year, and a
Siskin.
