There was another notable movement out to sea today, a total
of 2699 Manx Shearwaters, 16 Common Scoters and a Common Tern were logged.
A Kestrel made a brief appearance, as did the juv. Cuckoo.
Waders once again dominated the numbers with a Ringed Plover, four Sanderlings,
a Dunlin, 11 Whimbrels, 29 Curlews, nine Redshanks, a Common Sandpiper and six
Turnstones recorded.
Adding to the diversity of common migrants were two Willow
Warblers, unfortunately with the bad weather this week, Willow Warblers have
been scarce on the ground with no days reaching double figures this week.
