A Merlin patrolled the southern parts of the island in search of prey, which seems to consist of mostly Rock Pipits of which 15 were seen, a pair of Shelduck bobbed just off shore in Henllwyn as a juvenile Grey Heron resided amongst the coastal rock pools and 18 Choughs fed amongst the sand and seaweed on Solfach. Over the past week or so Thrushes again were a feature with a variety of species scattered about the island, mostly feeding in the fields below the farm, Ty Pellaf, and the Observatory. Amongst the gardens were, 16 Blackbirds, four Song Thrushes and a Mistle Thrush, the final tallies. Elsewhere a Water Rail was still present in Nant Withy, two Stonechats and single Goldcrest and Goldfinch were noted.
