The winds calmed down to mild 30mph but the rain remained throughout the day. 

West Coast in high winds

It was quiet with a few small birds seen in more sheltered areas. A Chiffchaff and Willow Warbler were seen at Nant and a Whitethroat singing in the Observatory Garden. At high tide two Sanderlings, six Dunlins, three Purple Sandpipers and 25 Turnstones were seen at Solfach.

Birds today: one Storm Petrel, two Sanderlings, three Purple Sandpipers, six Dunlins, two Whimbrel, 26 Turnstones, one Whitethroat, one Chiffchaff, one Willow Warbler, three Goldfinches
