The number of racing pigeons in the Observatory garden has now risen to eight! Though the highlight of the day was when a guest reported a Rose-coloured Starling at Nant. When Steve went to photograph it, there turned out to be two. This is the first time that two have been seen at once on Bardsey.

Some time was spent monitoring the South End and West Coast Chough nests. The juveniles have now left the nest cavities and are scrabbling around the cliffs.
Birds today: 24 Gannets, one Grey Heron, five Common Scoters, one Dunlin, two Whimbrels, one Turnstone, two Collared Doves, six Goldfinches, four Lesser Redpolls
